Ricardo, founder of Smart Asset Protection, has more than two decades of experience in the insurance and financial industries. Throughout the years, Ricardo noticed consumers changed the way they do business.  This inspired him to start his own future-ready Agency.  As a broker, Ricardo is partnering with the most innovative companies that provide the tools and technology to counsel and service clients effectively.  

Ricardo’s extensive expertise includes risk analysis, advanced insurance strategies, and thoughtful counseling.  Ricardo stays on the leading edge of the industry.

Ricardo graduated from the University of Arizona and is an avid Wildcat fan. He's a new dad to a beautiful little girl and a handsome lad.   You might also catch him attempting to serve and volley playing tennis or taking a line drive on the knee at a city league softball game.

Marlene, a key member of our leadership team, provides education and guidance to her clients.  She empowers them with confidence and understanding based on her professional advice, while protecting them and their future. Marlene is a dynamic and accomplished Risk Manager with an extensive background in asset protection, customer service, and advanced insurance strategies.  

Marlene's tenacity and experience are an indispensable resource for clients seeking to manage risk, hazards, and exposures.   

Marlene recently married to a very handsome guy.  In her spare time, she goes on long walks chasing ducks with our beautiful daughter Olivia and handsome son Matias.

Francisco "Paco" Solis is a distinguished Insurance Agent with a proven track record in risk management. Driven by a commitment to education and client empowerment, Paco ensures that individuals and organizations can confidently implement strategic financial solutions to safeguard their future. 

His reputation for excellence and dedication to client success made him the ideal choice to join our team. Paco has also trademarked the phrase "Paco Time" as a hallmark of his commitment to efficiency and professionalism. 

Beyond his career, Paco is a devoted father to two wonderful daughters and is happily engaged. In his free time, he enjoys showcasing his musical talents through karaoke, embracing a wide range of melodies with enthusiasm.

Judy Poirier began her insurance career in New Hampshire, gaining hands-on experience in both personal and commercial lines and developing a passion for building lasting client relationships. 

In 2010, she and her husband moved to Florida, where she founded Seniors Are Special, a personal caregiving business, honing her skills in leadership, service, and operations while engaging in community philanthropy.

Now in Arizona to be closer to family, Judy has returned to insurance with Smart Asset Protection, where she brings decades of experience, integrity, and personalized service to every client

Ken began his career in the 1970s in the emerging printed circuit board industry, quickly transitioning from manufacturing to sales, where he discovered his true passion. 

His career evolved from field sales in New England to serving as Product Manager for a Fortune 500 company, and later as Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing for a growing firm where he became a partner. 

Following the company’s acquisition by Gould Electronics, a division of Nippon, Japan, Ken continued in leadership before venturing into new industries, including exotic wood manufacturing, theater production, and now, the insurance field alongside his wife, Judy

Alex Centeno is our dedicated Virtual Partner supporting the customer service team. With a strong background in client relations and administrative support, Alex helps ensure that our clients receive timely, accurate, and friendly assistance. From managing policy updates to coordinating communication between clients and our agents, Alex plays a key role in keeping our service efficient and responsive.

Outside of work, Alex enjoys expanding his skill set and staying current with emerging technologies that enhance the customer experience. He is also passionate about music, particularly 80s, 90s, and classic rock—and enjoys writing in his free time
